The Journal

You may have heard about Keane's 3D Broadcast on Thursday night (
[link]).
Well, I watched it, because I'm a huge fan of this band (obviously) and I just thought I share my thoughts on what was a very historic moment for technology and music.
In case you didn't know about it, here's some background info:
It was filmed completely live (well, a 3 second delay I believe) at Abbey Road Studios, the site of the first live broadcast by the Beatles. At 8 o'clock UK time thousands/millions of Keane fans worldwide watched the show with homemade or official Keane 3D glasses that could be bought with the new single, Better Than This (which is awesome).
The band performed 5 songs on the webcast, lasting 20 minutes: The Lovers Are Losing, Again and Again, Perfect Symmetry, Is It Any Wonder? and the legendary Spiralling. Obviously, they did a lot of new-album songs to sustain the whole 80s theme, but it would have been nicer if it was longer. The music from Tim and Rich, and Tom's vocals sounded absolutely amazing. The guys were on top form and the quality of the 3D effect was very good. Remember, Keane are pioneering this, so the graphics were never going to be perfect. I'm just fed up of people saying it was too dark. Come on, at least they tried! They united fans around the world, and that's what counts.
Oh, and if you want to see the webcast (you can pretty much watch it without glasses, you can still hear how awesome Keane are) then you can go to their official website,
